Aluminum Hatch Covers On Your Boat.

Today, boats that are being built or refitted are doing so to compete with the ever changing fishing grounds. The vessel size and advanced technology are allowing captains to go to waters they are unfamiliar with. In hopes of their investment paying off. Out on deck is where the work happens. This is where the gear is carried and launched. This is where the catch is brought in from the water. This is where a lot of the harsh elements will impact the boat. Regardless, if the boat is at sea or at port. The working deck is kept watertight by closing and battening down the hatch covers. Hatch covers Provide an opening in the deck to below deck for: pins, livewells, rope locker and rudder room.

When fishing for a live product i.e., Lobster or Crab. Today's vessels are equipped with livewells. Livewells are a aerated tank in the boat. Surrounding water is pumped in and circulated through the tank to increase the survival rate of the fish until the vessel returns to port for offloading. Our hatches keeps the water in the livewells with a weathertight seal. The same seal keeps your livewells from being contaminated with rain water and/or other contaminants that would appear on deck. Our hatches offer the durability needed to be used offshore. So, the only thing you need to worry about going into your livewells or pins is fish.
